Kamal Gadalla is a research associate funded by the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. His primary focus is on developing gene therapy approaches in Rett Syndrome as part of the RSRT Gene Therapy Consortium. Prior to taking up his current post, Kamal was a physician and lecturer in pharmacology at Tanta University, Egypt. He is trained in neurobiology and molecular biology and his PhD thesis completed in 2012 also relates to gene therapy in Rett syndrome.
